In this second installment of The Admiralty Archives, the warrior Lady Alexin, the Keeper of the Keys for the Elf realm of Eledon, finds herself exiled to the harsh world of near-future London. Rendered little more than a political pawn by the Elfin Council of Elders to avoid a war with the Rock Elves, she has little choice but to struggle to find her way in this strange new land. Taken under the protection of kindly mentors, Vice Admiral Malcolm Teller of the British Royal Navy and his wife, Alex brings all her skills to the fore as she uncovers a series of deadly plots.
Murder is on everyone's mind as an underground White Supremacist organization takes aim at Admiral Teller while two wizards, resurrected from death, must kill Alex in order to survive. Book Excerpts

Chapter 10
Later that night, Alex was jolted awake when the balcony doors to her bedroom flew open and the Silver Eagle of the Sky Lords waddled through. His silver feathers reflected the moonlight, nearly blinding her; a crown of feathers rose on his head, and under that, his golden eyes stared at her. He squawked a greeting and spread his wings.
Alex rubbed her eyes, wondering if she was seeing things. She smiled at her old friend and jumped out of bed. Several years before, she’d released him from a wizard’s spell that had locked him inside a vial for centuries. The magnificent Silver Eagle had power unmatched by any other eagle and was the largest one she’d ever seen.
“Silver Eagle, what brings you here?” She saluted and curtsied to him, wanting to show him respect.
“Keeper of the Keys, you have been summoned.” The Eagle bowed his head, greeting her in Elfspeak, a form of mental telepathy. “Master Zeus of the Sky Lords wishes to speak to you.”
“Ummm, I don’t think that’s a good idea. Besides, I don’t know how to get there.” Alex held up her hands. The name, Zeus, gave her the chills. She didn’t want to go.
“I’ll take you there.” The Eagle flapped his wings and she floated off her feet.
“Whoa!” Alex spun her arms to maintain her balance. Apparently, she had no choice in the matter. She floated out the balcony doors.
“Relax, Keeper.” The Eagle leapt off the balcony and flapped his wings, growing in size until he caught her mid-air in his talons.
Alex nestled against the soft pads of his feet and wrapped her arms around her knees, dreading this visit. Below, the balcony doors closed as they flew into the night sky. She wanted to see where Silver Eagle was taking her, but within minutes, her eyelids grew heavy and she fell asleep.
