Matthew

Life is good. Being the top porn star and producer in the world definitely has its perks. Too bad the rest of the world thinks sex is all I’m good for. So when my agent tells me that my favorite author, the reclusive Luc Romano, is looking for a producer to turn his book into a movie, I jump at the chance to work with him. There’s just one problem.

Luc is a woman.

A woman who sees me for more than just my cock.

She’s been hiding from her past for so long. Can I help her break free so she can finally step out of the shadows of her pen name?

Or will my reputation ruin us both?

Before I even realize he is moving, Matthew steps forward, closing the small distance between us and wraps me in a tight hug. Every muscle in my body locks up immediately, my usual knee-jerk reaction to anyone showing me affection. As I will my body to relax, I slide my arms around his waist and close my eyes as I press my cheek to his chest. Taking a deep breath, I inhale his powerful and clean scent. He smells like the ocean in the rain. I feel his steady heartbeat against my skin, his warmth enveloping me.
All of these things bring me a calm I have not felt in a very long time, if ever.

I raise my head just enough to peer up into his brilliant blue eyes, a ghost of a smile playing on my lips. He slowly slides his hand up my arm to cup my cheek gently.

“I will never hurt you, Lucy,” he breathes, his voice low and full of sex. His thumb delicately sweeps away another tear that trickles down my face.

“Everyone says that,” I murmur, fear threatening to strangle me once again. The memory of those exact lying words I had heard so many times in my childhood ring in my ears.

“Then let me show you,” he whispers, silencing the voices of my past, as he lowers his mouth to mine.
But there was something I had to say to him before I let this go any further; something that had been on my mind for weeks now.

“I’m sorry,” I say as he freezes, his lips so close to mine that we are breathing the same air. I can feel his lips barely touching mine, twitching with need. Without opening his eyes, he exhales loudly as his hand starts sliding away from my cheek. I quickly cover his hand with mine, sliding it back in place and leaning into his palm. “I’m sorry for what I said. I’m sorry I said that kissing you meant nothing to me,” I continue as I close my eyes.

I could smell the wine on his breath as I felt him lean forward, resting his forehead against mine. The hand that was still lightly stroking my back slides around to grip my hip, his fingers flexing as if he was struggling to maintain control over himself.

“I’m sorry I said it was a mistake,” I breathe as I push myself forward just enough to lightly brush my lips against his. Still, I feel his reluctance, no doubt scared of repeating the scenario from all those weeks ago. But neither of us is running away this time. I press my entire body against his, feeling his erection against my belly, and say the one thing I can think of that might put his mind at ease. “I’ll never regret kissing you, Matthew.”

Before I can even process what is happening, Matthew’s mouth crashes against mine. Our tongues dance together passionately as we both pour everything we have been holding back since the beginning into this one kiss. I tangle my fingers in his hair as he pulls me so tight against him that I struggle to breathe. I don’t even care if I suffocate right now.

I yelp in surprise as he pulls away and lifts me suddenly in a threshold carry.

“Which way is your bedroom?” he asks as we both gasp for air.

“Up the stairs,” I rasp, pointing the way with my chin.

I can’t help the giggle that escapes my lips as he sprints out of the kitchen and across the living room. Matthew Dentz is taking me to bed.
